Welcome to Our Homestead
Here at Conlin’s Country Raised, we are so happy to be sharing a portion of our Mooreville, MS homestead with our local community and beyond. For us, this is such a blessing, answer to prayers, and a dream come true. To help you get to know us a little better, please allow us to share some things about how we got here and where we believe this is heading.
Both Jessica and I (Bob) have a sincere love for the Lord our God, an appreciation and respect for all creation, and passion for animals of all shapes and sizes. Having grown up raising a variety of animals, then spending time as adults living in the city (aka. concrete jungle), the idea of having a home with land and animals in a rural community was (and still is) very appealing to us. What started with an initial plan for raising a dozen chickens for eggs, has led to many more chickens, ducks, with goats and a garden coming in spring 2026 (Lord willing). There will likely be donkeys, horses, and cows at some point as well…one thing at a time though! Also, with the initial idea to sell some of our free-range eggs near the road, has now grown into a vision that provides a wide-range of farm-fresh, homemade, and handcrafted agriculture-based products.
This led to the immediate revamp of my originally built roadside egg stand (which my wife jokingly called “the outhouse”) into a more presentable farmstand, followed by research, developing signage, the testing of new recipes and potential product offerings, creation of FB business pages, flyers, labels, and now websites. Conlin’s Country Raised offers free-range chicken and duck eggs at our self-serve farmstand. We craft natural Beef Tallow Body Butters and are working on more natural farm-based products in the near future. My wife Jessica is a humble, yet highly capable baker and cake decorator with persistence that never quits. Her baked items, jellies, and variety of other goodies are all compliments of Conlin’s Sweet Blessings and can be found separately online or through FB.
Ultimately, Jessica and I understand the drastic difference between the highly processed and chemical filled options we find ourselves drawn to (out of convenience or habit) compared with the quality, safety, and added nutritional value found in farm-fresh, homemade, and handcrafted products. What started as a desire to reconnect with nature and start a small homestead that provides for our family, has bloomed into the desire to make top quality goods from our homestead available to our community as well.
